Sometimes, in life, we find ourselves in valleys.  These valleys could have been caused
by us or something/someone else or a combination of both.  Either way - in those times
we must have self awareness. We must recognize that in valleys our perspective is
smaller and most often selfish.  In our selfish state we can begin to lose hope, becoming
consumed with the ruts and rocks on the trail that we find ourselves walking on. The
valley can then become a wilderness causing us to become lost from the path God has
for us.

But in this self awareness we must embrace life.  We must look for opportunities to
apply and develop the gifts we have been given.  Walking will not get us out of valleys,
but walking in the right direction while embracing life will.

Embracing life is more of a mindset than an action.  We first must give ourselves an
internal hug - welcome back - encourage our talents and assess how we can use them
right where we are.  By doing this we begin to focus on what we can do not what we
can not do. When we do this, we begin to experience victories again. These are not
mountain top victories, but victories nonetheless. Our mindset begins to change -
instead of focusing on the trail we lift our heads which opens new possibilities for
opportunities to move out of the valley we are in.

Be encouraged today to embrace life wherever you may find yourself.
